Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) South Kalimantan Representatives is ready to audit the use of village funds distributed by the government to several districts in the province.

"We are ready to audit the village fund as it becomes one of the themes in this year's inspection," said Head of BPK South Kalimantan Representative Tornanda Syaifullah in Banjarbaru on Friday.

He said the inspection will be conducted starting from second quarter this year and there are two of the 11 districts in South Kalimantan which will be the object related to the use and accountability of village funds.

"Two districts will be inspected and audited, both the use and accountability of village funds," he said without mentioning the two districts.

The examination of the use of village funds, in addition to being the theme of BPK audit, is also due to weaknesses in its management and use.

"The management and use of village funds still have weaknesses, including the late disbursement of funds from the central to regions, thus affecting the preparedness of the village apparatus," he said.

On the other hand, the Report on Examination Result (LHP) that has been submitted to the regent/mayor across South Kalimantan on Wednesday (30/5) contains a mandatory recommendation to be followed up regarding the distribution of village funds.

He explained that the recommendation indicated one of the weaknesses of the Internal Control System (SPI) of local government so that it must be improved as compliance with the rules of legislation.

"In accordance with Article 22 of Act No. 15/2004, the district/city government shall follow up the recommendations in LHP BPK no later than 60 days after the LHP is accepted," he said.
