Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) collaborates with two Philippine's educational institutions, Philippine's Women University (PWU) and Sekolah Indonesia Davao orIndonesia School of Davao, Philippines.


"PWU is a leading university in the Philippines that will be 100 years old in the academic year of 2019-2020. So ULM is very fortunate to work with," said ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H. Sutarto Hadi in the signing of cooperation in ULM Rectorate Hall in Banjarmasin.

Later there will be student exchanges with PWU, so that students from each university can learn and seek experience outside of their own country.

While the Indonesian School of Davao is an Indonesian school in the Philippines that is destined for Indonesian citizens who are domiciled in the Philippines, especially around Davao. Later ULM held a student teachers program that ULM student will practice teaching there.

Sutarto also said the cooperation is an excellent opportunity and should be followed up with a mutually beneficial program for both parties.

Also present at the signing of the MoU, Vice Rector IV Prof. Dr. H Yudi Firmanul Arifin, Education and Culture Attaché Embassy of Indonesia in Manila Dr Lili Nurlaili, President of Philippine Womens University Dr Joe Fransisco B Benitez and Principal Indonesian School of Davao Drs Agus.

On that occasion, Dr. Joe Fransisco B Benitez gave a public lecture moderated by a lecturer of Communication Science Fisip ULM Sri Astuty by discussing how to use social media properly.
