Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarbaru Police Officers are ready to teach in elementary (SD) and junior high schools (SMP) through a police goes to school program.
Banjarbaru Mayor Nadjmi Adhani in Banjarbaru on Friday said he strongly supports the police goes to school program run by the local police.
"We strongly support the program that assigns police personnel to teach in elementary and junior high schools," he said when opening the coaching for police before teaching.
He said the police participation in education by providing teaching in schools will shape the characters of the younger generation through mental revolution.
The concept of police goes to school is an application of mental revolution that proclaimed by the central government then translated into concrete and real activities.
"During our five years of leadership, we have brought the vision of making Banjarbaru a service city of character, and police teaching in schools in line with that vision," he said.
Head of Education Agency Rahma Khairita said police teaching in school begins on January 29, 2018, and implemented for 20 junior and 80 elementary schools.
"Police personnel is ready to perform the noble task of educating schoolchildren, so they get knowledge, especially those related to the police," said Banjarbaru Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Kelana Jaya.
