Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Commander of Provincial Military (Danrem) 101 Antasari Col. Inf. Yudianto Putra Jaya has harvested corn in a demonstration plot (demplot) owned by District Military (Kodim) 1009 Pelaihari at Gunung Kayangan, Tanah Laut District, South Kalimantan, Tuesday (13/2).
"Demonstration plot of corn belonging to Kodim 1009 Pelaihari is 1.7 hectares," said Danrem 101 Antasari Col.Inf. Yudianto Putra Jaya .
According to him, the demonstration plot is done by Kartika Farmer Group with profit sharing system and using DK 959 maize seedlings.
"The results obtained from the land area of 1.7 hectares is 8.9 tons," he said.
Vice Regent of Tanah Laut H Sukamta revealed corn plant is one of the mainstay commodities of the district.
He said the district government is continuing to increase corn, soybean and rice production.
The first harvest event was attended by the 1009 Pelaihari District Military Commander (Dandim), Speaker of Tanah Laut DPRD, Tanah Laut Police Chief, and members of regional leaders communication forums (Forkompinda).
