Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Indonesian District Administration Association (Apkasi) successfully held a fundraising concert for the Palestinian people on Saturday (27/1) night in Banjarbaru. Until the end of Sunday morning at around 1:00 am the donation collected Rp1.419.724.700.
"Alhamdulillah the amount of funds collected nearly Rp1.5 billion, exceeding our target of Rp1 billion," said Apkasi Chairman Mardani H Maming after the event.
Mardani is grateful to all parties, whether individuals or groups or on behalf of the institutions and organizations that contributed to the Palestinian people.
"The assistance will be submitted to KH Ma'ruf Amin Amin as Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and also Rais' Aam PBNU who then forward to Palestine," said the Tanah Bumbu Regent.
"As Chairman of Apkasi, I also suggest each regent anywhere in the archipelago can hold a similar event, but of course the concept
and style of each region is different," he said.
The charity concert titled "The Society Supported Palestine" in Murjani Field which was also joined together with the prayer was enthusiastically welcomed by all elements of society.
In fact, South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor who participated spontaneously contributed Rp500 million. Some regents also chairman of political parties did not want to miss, such as Regent Tanah Laut H Bambang Alamsyah and Regent Tabalong H Anang Syakhfiani each Rp50 million, including Mardani H Maming participated in the auction of a poetry of Uncle Birin (South Kalimantan Governor) worth Rp50 million.
In fact, some mosque officials and the audience who attended also contributed, including TNI soldiers who are in charge of safeguarding the event to participate directly give money to the committee in posts provided by the organizer.
While some residents of Tanah Bumbu and local businessmen who could not attend also give donations that are deposited or transferred to the committee.
