Tanjung, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Director of Financial Revenue and Capacity of Directorate General of Fiscal Balance at the Finance Ministry Lisbon Sirait said the economic gap in Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, is still high.
"If we see Human Development Index is good, but the poverty level is high," explained Lisbon in Tanjung, the capital of Tabalong, on Friday.
Lisbon was speaking at the Regional Discussion Forum which discussed the Improvement and Development Effort of Tabalong Revenue.
In his presentation, Lisbon also highlighted the low realization of levies and local taxes in the district.
He delivered a number of strategies to increase local taxes, among others, increase the tax base, adjustment of tax base to the improvement of taxpayer compliance.
Regent Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani in his speech also acknowledged the realization of regional levies of Rp7 billion is not optimal.
"We need to cultivate a new spirit to increase local retribution seeing the realization of only Rp7 billion," said Anang.
To boost local revenue through retribution, of course, must start from a small thing as long as retribution applied not burden society.
In addition, Anang asked for diversification by looking for other sources of funding, such as regional incentives and grant funds to increase local revenues.
