Navy Invites Children to Like Eating Fish

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Banjarmasin Naval Base (Lanal), South Kalimantan, echoes the fondness of eating fish in order to realize qualified human resources.

"We try to civilize the fond of eating fish from an early age to the children, especially in the neighborhood around Naval Base," said Banjarmasin Naval Base Commander Lt. Col. (P) Wijayanto in Banjarmasin on Thursday.

The commander spoke on the sidelines of a simultaneously eating fish involving Hang Tuah Foundation students throughout Indonesia during the 71st birthday of the foundation in 2018.

Here the fish meal activities followed by 150 students of Hang Tuah Kindergarten, involving teachers, parents to all officers and staff of Banjarmasin Naval Base and Head of Branch 4 Korcab XIII DJAT.

"The event that aims to encourage the fish eating hobby for these children is a manifestation of the role of the Navy in supporting programs implemented by the government," said the commander.

He expected fish consumption can continue to increase over time because fish is a source of protein and also contains a very good nutrition for the growth of children.

"Fish contains high protein so it is good to encourage the growth of children and parents should civilize their children like to eat fish," he asked.

Fish-eating together was also enlivened with cooking demonstration shown by teachers of Culinary of vocational high school SMKN 4 Banjarmasin and attract the interest of parents to witness it.
