Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Laut District Police have uncovered 144 criminal cases and arrested 165 suspects during Sikat Intan Operation held from 27 November to 11 December 2017.

"Various criminal cases revealed in the operation, among them street violence, togel gambling, sharp weapons, drugs, Health Act, illegal logging, liquor and traffic," said Deputy Chief of Tanah Laut Police Comr Irwan Hidayat accompanied by Chief Operation Comr Fauzan Arianto and Head of Criminal Detective Unit Adj Comr Alfian Tri Permadi in Pelaihari, Wednesday (13/12).

Iwan Hidayat said, during the period of one and a half month the ranks of Drug Detective Unit revealed 13 cases of different types of drug abuse, such as psychotropic and G-class drug.

"The evidence have been secured are sabu-sabu 4.8 grams, 1,001 carnophen, 2,830 dextro pills, and money Rp3,3 million," he said.

He explained the follow-up of 2017 Sikat Intan Operation is an order from high official of the police in the run up to Christmas and New Year 2018.

"The Tanah Laut Police conducts a condition to ensure that the territory of NKRI, especially in South Kalimantan Regional Police and Tanah Laut Police are safe, conducive, clean of thuggery," he explained.

The 2017 Sikat Intan Operation, said the Deputy chief of the Police, forward prevention and action taken by the Police of Tanah Laut.

"Operations and raids were carried out in some places suspected of criminal offenses leading to thuggery, such as drug abuse or any of the locations used as liquor drinking," he explained.
