Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru Resort Police, South Kalimantan, released an autopsy result of a farm laborer found lifeless in the bushes of Pantai Baru Village, Central Pulaulaut Subdistrict, early last week.


Kotabaru Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Suhasto through the Head of General Criminal Unit of Criminal Investigation Unit First Insp (Iptu) Gatot Edi Widada on Friday said there is a sign that leads to the element of violence in the victim's body.

"The rear bone of the skull has an open wound through the brain like an L," Gatot said.

Allegedly the wound was due to a touch of a sharp object. However, the police can not be sure whether the woman became a victim of murder.

"Still in the investigation, we can not disclose," he said.

Earlier on Monday (23/10) a decomposing corpse was found in a garden area on Jalan Trans RT 3 Pantai Baru Village.

The corpse was under a tree and was unrecognizable, because the skin was bone-wrapped.

Later the corpse was identified as Jamiyem (51), a resident of RT 5 Block D Pantai Baru Village. Earlier the victim had been nine days gone.

Based on the information of the family, she left home on October 14, 2017 at 17.30. She said good-bye to taking the wages, but never returned.

"I thought she was staying for work, usually for days," said Wadi, the husband.

After five days in Kotabaru District Hospital for autopsy, the corpse was finally taken home by the family. Arriving at the residence which is about 20 kilometers from the city, the corpse was instantly prayed for and buried in the local village public cemetery.
