Tanjung, S Kalimantan 25/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Government of Tabalong, South Kalimantan, and PT Pelita Air Service discuss the cooperation agreement for the operation (KSO) of Warukin Airport.


Head of the Tabalong Transportation Agency Imam Fahrullazi in Tanjung on Friday said that the agreement is still in the form of a draft and needs to be improved in preparation for airport operation.

"The discussion on cooperation among which about the rights and obligations, the position of Tabalong as the second party is to take care of licensing and maintenance of the airport," said Imam.

More details, Head of Traffic and Transportation Division Ady Fajar explained, Pelita Air as the first party to improve the air and ground facilities, including improvement of main road access and airport parking area.

In the draft agreement also mentioned Tabalong administration is required to provide personnel who meet the requirements, including security personnel.

While the representatives of PT Pelita Air Service are Aswin Mochamad (Chief Executive Air Port and Regular Flight) and Agus Sutriono (Project Manager Officer).

According to Aswin, the company aims to improve air and ground facilities by September 2017. Air facilities are currently in completion stage, in addition to the runway, are apron, marking, lighting and navigation.

Previously the local government targeting it can be operated simultaneously with the 72nd anniversary of Independence Day, but it delayed because the runway overlay has not been completed.
