Pertamina Tanjung socializes work safety commitment

Tanjung, S Kalimantan 12/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Pertamina Exploration and Asset Production 5 Tanjung Field in Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, socialize the work safety and health (K3) commitment for all partners of the oil and gas company.

PT Pertamina EP Asset Manager 5 Tanjung Andri Haribowo here on Saturday said that Pertamina's partners should attend the safety management system training including Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE).

"Every contractor who wants to be part of PT Pertamina EP must have the same HSSE standards and participate in CSMS (Contractor Safety Management System) training," explained Andri.

CSMS itself is an OSH management system applied to the contractors covering several K3 elements that have been adapted to the standard.

Andri said Pertamina EP does not tolerate any unsafe activities, either to workers, employees and all partners.

Because many examples that have occurred due to unsafe behavior resulted in losses for the company, whether in the form of material, reputation, working hours survived, until the loss of life.

"With this socialization is expected the partners understand and run every job by holding on to HSSE," explained Andri.

Besides participating in the socialization of the work safety commitment of 29 partners in PT Pertamina's assets 5 Tanjung Field also signed the Work Safety Commitment.

One of Pertamina's partners, Syarifuddi from PT Reza Pratama, said maintaining a safe job is the same as maintaining a reputation for them.
