The Kotabaru Tourism, Youth and Sports Office (Disparpora) opened the 2025 STKIP PB Cup Badminton Competition.
Secretary of the Disparpora Hj Evi Yusnita said this event demonstrates the STKIP Paris Barantai's commitment to encouraging and developing high-achieving young athletes.
“The Tourism, Youth and Sports Office highly appreciates this event, showing STKIP Kotabaru's commitment to encouraging the development of potential, achievement, and spirit of sportmanship among school and university students,” she said here as reported on Monday.

Badminton is a very popular sport in Indonesia, widely played and brought Indonesia's reputation to the world stage.
“This competition also serves as a forum of silaturahmi and a platform to scout outstanding badminton talents who can one day elevate Kotabaru's reputation to a higher level,” she hopes.
She also advised all participants to make this championship as a valuable experience to improve their skills and uphold sportmanship, honesty, togetherness, and respect each other.
Head of Students Affairs of the Paris Barantai Teacher Training and Education College (STKIP) Dr Arham Sahban said that this championship marked the closing ceremony for the campus's anniversary.

“Hopefuly the badminton championship will run smoothly and successfully, just like the previous competitions,” he said.
He informed that 46 STKIP Paris Barantai students are now participating in the 12th South Kalimantan Sport Game (Porprov) in Tanah Laut District, hoping to bring honor to Kotabaru.
The badminton championship held on October 24-25 featured 24 pairs of athletes representing schools and universities in Kotabaru District.
