Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 4/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of South Kalimantan Development Planning Board (Bappeda) H Nurul Fajar Desira said the development project of Sjamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Airport has been on the list of national strategic projects (PSN).
"The project in PSN means President Joko Widodo will continue to monitor the progress of its implementation, as well as providing solutions if there is a problem for the project to be completed," he said after a working meeting with Commission III of South Kalimantan DPRD here on Friday.
"We therefore do not have to worry about the construction of Sjamsudin Noor Airport (27 kilometers north of Banjarmasin) will be abandoned," he said in answering questions from members of the Press Room of the South Kalimantan DPRD.
He said that the airport project listed into the PSN was the result of the struggle of South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor, who has been about two years in office.
"The Sjamsudin Noor Airport listed in PSN is the result of a limited meeting of President Joko Widodo with South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor," he said, accompanied by the Head of Public Works & Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) Achmad Sofiani.
In addition to Sjamsudin Noor Airport, there were previously three projects in South Kalimantan that entered PSN, namely Pipitan Jaya Dam in Tapin District, Special Economic Zone (KEK) Jorong in Tanah Laut District, And KEK Batulicin in Tanah Bumbu (Tanbu) District.
