Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Hampang Sector Police in Kotabaru District seized 5,660 Zenith pills from a dealer.
"The evidence was seized at the suspect's M aka UC (40) house when we did a search on Sunday (23/7) at around 17:30," said Hampang Police Chief First Inspector (Iptu) Hasanuddin in Kotabaru Monday.
He said the disclosure of the Health Act violation case originated from society's information that at the suspect's home Carnophen or Zenith drug transactions are rampant.
Then police officers of Hampang, led by Iptu Hasanuddin, raided and searched the house of the suspect in Peramasan Village, Hampang Subdistrict.
The result of the raids found 566 pieces or as many as 5,660 pills that are recognized by M as his own and money as much as Rp 195,000 proceeds from the sale.
"We charged the suspect with Article 196, 197 Law RI No 36/2009 on Health with a maximum threat of 15 years and a fine of Rp 1.5 billion," said the man who had served as Head Unit Crime Detective (Reskrim) in East Banjarmasin Sector Police.
According to Hasanuddin, police is still trying to develop the arrest of the suspect.
Police signaled there was a supplier to the M who kept more of Zenith's drug by distributing it into several dealers or couriers in charge of selling to buyers.
"I warned all drug dealers Zenith or drugs to stop doing such illicit business, if still and caught then we will not hesitate to take firm action," he said.
