A total 20 students of Banjarmasin Public Polytechnic (Poliban) from Tabalong and Balangan, South Kalimantan Province, received Indonesia Bright Future Leaders (IBFL) batch 3 scholarship from PT Saptaindra Sejati (SIS).

Division Head of SHE & ERE of PT SIS Sarono said that this scholarship was an effort to produce prospective workers in the company's operational areas. 

"IBFL scholarship covers not only tuition fees, but also living expenses during their studies at Poliban until graduation," Agung said here on Sunday (August 10, 2025).

The batch 3 IBFL scholarship was awarded to 20 outstanding students from underprivileged families as part of the coal mining company's social responsibility with the hope they will become leaders of Indonesia's bright future.

The students are from five study programs: mining engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, heavy equipment engineering, and elektronic engineering.

"We hope the recipients will become a reliable, useful human resources, who will benefit their regions," said Agung.

In a previous year, PT SIS in collaboration with Poliban, awarded IBFL batch 2 to high school students (SLTA) in Barito Timur, Barito Selatan, Barito Kuala, and Hulu Sungai Utara districts.

As part of social responsibility through Adaro Ignites Science pillar, PT SIS continues to be committed to support education sector and developing human resources in its surrounding areas.

Poliban Deputy Director 1 for Academic H Ahmad Rizani said that the scholarship cooperation program with PT SIS is entering its third year.

"Since the program began in 2023, (now) the total recipients are 70 students," Rizani explained.

The recipients then undergo three years of education at Poliban fully funded by IBFL.
