PT Adaro Indonesia continues to be committed to produce superior generation for Banua around its operational areas through regional delegation scholarship (BUD) program.
The company provides scholarship program with the aim to support the education of the regional children so they can continue their studies to universities.
“Producing superior generation for Banua is the slogan of this scholarship with the hope they build the region when they back home,” said Adaro's representative for CSR Ardian Nor here on Monday.
Adaro held BUD program socialization in Hulu Sungai Utara District by targeting students from various SMA (senior high schools), SMK (vacational high schools) and MA (Islamic high schools) on Friday (February 7, 2025).

A total 120 students enthusiastically attended socialization of BUD, which will provide full sholarship for students from areas around Adaro's operation, namely Tabalong, Balangan, HSU, Barito Timur, Barito Selatan, and Barito Kuala districts.
Ardianor expounded that BUD recipients can continue their studies to IPB University or UPN Veteran Yogyakarta which collaborated with Adaro.
Requirements for prospective recipients, 12 grade students of all majors, but not children of Adaro Group (PT SIS, BUMA, PPA, dan Balangan Coal) employees.
They must have minimum score of 80 for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Sociology, English, Indonesian Language, and Economy fom semester one to five.
Since it launched in 2010, this scholarship has benefited 165 students. Last year, 20 people receieved the scholarship, and in 2025 there is an increase in the number of recipient.
"There is an additional scholarship quota for IPB and UPN Yogyakarta for Barito Timur, HSU and Barito Kuala," added Ardian.
This scholarship covers tuition fee (UKT), living expenses, dormitory, health, thesis, and co-assist for veterinary students. The scholarship awarded for a maximum of ten semesters.
HSU District Education Office Representative Rita Murtafiah said BUD program have inspired students to pursue their dreams.
"Find and get your dreams, because with seriousness and strong determination you can definitely achieve them," she said.
BUD registration closes on March 31, 2025 and this program is hoped to produce young generation of Banua who are educated and ready to contribute for their region in the future.
