Central Banjarmasin handles baby disposal

Banjarmasin, Kalsel (AntaranewsKalsel) - Central Banjarmasin Crime Detective Unit is currently handling case of male baby disposal found by residents of Jalan Kampung Melayu Gang H Zain.

"The baby boy was found on Monday night (20/6) at around 23:00," said Police Chief Comr (Kompol) Uskiansyah in Banjarmasin, Tuesday.

He said the police are currently conducting an investigation on the ground by examining several witnesses to reveal who the parents who were willing to throw away the newborn baby.

"There are two witnesses we examined and questioned the case," said the man familiar with the media crew.

The case of the baby's findings, Uski said, stems from a public report regarding the discovery of infants at the scene.

First witness Laila heard a baby crying and then told Misna, other witness. After that Laila and Misna came to the source of the sound and found a baby wrapped with a sarong. Misna then took the baby to the RT (neighborhood unit) chairman's house.

Subsequently members of Central Banjarmasin policeled by police chief and crime detective unit head sec insp. (Ipda) Achmad Doni Meidianto STK along with emergency team brought the baby boy to Bhayangkara Hospital in order to get medical treatment.
