Kotabaru Regent H Muhammad Rusli began his Ramadan 1446 Hijri Safari in Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district and Pulau Laut Sigam Sub-district. 


He said safari Ramadhan is not only to strengthen relation between government and the community, but it is a momentum to strengthen ukhuwah Islamiah (Islamic brotherhood), and improve our worship in this month full of grace and forgiveness.

"This is a form of the district government's attention to the community, as well as to implement various government programs and activities that can support the welfare of the community," said the Regent as reported on Tuesday.

This is the first safari Ramadhan held by the Kotabaru Regent since he was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto.

"We are committed to continue to improve services to the community, so that every level of the society can feed the benefits of every policy and program that we implement," he added.

He also invited the people of Kotabaru to foster unity. 

"Through this safari, let us foster a sense of togetherness, family, harmony and high solidarity in fostering unity in the Kotabaru District," Rusli called.

On that occasion, Kotabaru Regent handed over assistance to recipients from the two sub-districts for the category of people with disabilities, renovation of unhabitable houses, social assistance for worship places and incentives for religious teachers, handover of halal certificates for animal and poultry slaughtering houses, submission of operational cars, and scholarship assistance.
