Coal mining company PT Adaro Energy Indonesia through Adaro Foundation (YABN) disbursed IDR11.26 billion for the “Indonesia Bright Future Leaders” (IBFL) Batch 5 scholarship for 100 Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) students in 2024.
"This fifth batch of IBFL scholarships guarantees students' tuition and living expenses for four years or until they graduate," said Budi Bowoleksono, PT Adaro Energy Indonesia commissioner as well as YABN Supervisory Board.
Budi extended this during the welcoming and briefing o scholarship recipient students at the General Building Student Activity Center ULM Banjarmasin, Monday (September 9, 2024).
The man who is familiarly called Sonny motivated the new students to study deligently so they can achieve high achievement during college.
"The scholarship received must be grateful for by study seriously, because not everyone is lucky can go to college and get a scholarship," he said.

ULM Deputy Rector III for Student and Alumni Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin appreciated Adaro's commitment to providing scholarship for ULM students with largest nominal routinely every year.
"Adaro's scholarship is a complete package, in addition to tuition fee and living expenses, the students also receive coaching personality and skills while in the dormitory," he said.
Even IBFL alumni still receive assistance to pursue career according to their interest so they can achieve a bright future as a graduate.
Rusmin representing Rector of ULM Professor Ahmad Alim Bachri hopes that the private sector, especially mining companies in South Kalimantan, can emulate Adaro who is very concern about producing high educated human resources.
"So far, only four mining companies have provided scholarship, even though there are many other companies. There are many students who need help," he pointed out.
The welcoming and briefing for IBFL Batch 5 recipients was also filled with various performances and motivational sharing from Adaro management.
Director of Adaro Foundation Okty Damayanti hopes that the IBFL recipient students will become future leaders of Indonesia.
"Besides being academically smart, the key to success tis to have integrity," said Okty motivating the students.
IBFL scholarship targets students from Adaro's operational areas in South and central Kalimantan.
IBFL program at ULM has been running since 2018 by guaranteeing tuition fees for four years and providing a monthly allowance for living expenses and coaching mental personality to become a strong and characterful students.
