Interior Ministry team to verify Tabalong-East Barito boundary

Tanjung, South Kalimantan 20/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - A team from Interior Ministry will verify the settlement of boundary between Tabalong (South Kalimantan) and Barito Timur (Central Kalimantan), following some claims.

Government assistant of Tabalong Secretariat Arianto in Tanjung on Monday said the boundary claimed by East Barito covered Sub-district of Banua Lawas, Kelua, Tanjung, and Bintang Ara will be followed-up with verification to the field.

"If there is no agreement between the provincial government both South and Central Kalimantan, it will be resolved by the Interior Ministry," said Arianto.

The district Secretary Abdul Muttalib Sangadji while chairing a coordination meeting to finalize borders some time ago declared the completion of this provincial boundaries can be completed more quickly, because of the process was quite long and absorbing a lot budget.

Verification of the border will be at six points, namely the Pasar Panas, Muara Bagok, Binturu Village, Damboeng Village and Tanjung.

Previoulsy, Head of Government Arbuansyah said Tabalong and East Barito boundary settlement team agreed to do field verification.

"From this day verification by the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the team to finalize borders of the two district begin at six locations," explained Arbuansyah.

The results of field verification will then be set forth in the official report signed jointly and submitted to the Interior Ministry at the end of March 2017.
