Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 13/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin holding garbage bank named as one of the six best garbage bank in Indonesia in 2017.
Banjarmasin garbage bank director Fathurrahman after meeting the mayor at city hall on Monday said it has been named as one of the best nationally in the 2017 National Waste Care Day .
According to him, awards for Banjarmasin holding garbage bank was pinned by Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
"Therefore, we are invited to attend the national coordination meeting (rakornas) to be held in Palembang this March," he said.
Banjarmasin holding trash bank, said Fathurrahman, will join Malakasari garbage bank DKI Jakarta, Bina Mandiri garbage bank Surabaya, Makasar, Malang and Yogyakarta garbage bank.
"Surely this is an honor for our region to be aligned with other major cities in the successful management of sanitation," said the man who is also chairman of PWI South Kalimantan.
According to him, the appreciation as the best garbage bank will invite people to come see how waste management process here.
Currently, said Fathurrahman, Banjarmasin has 175 trash bank from 4,000 waste bank recorded throughout Indonesia.
According to him, the garbage bank in Banjarmasin city are active in all South Kalimantan.
Fathurrahman was dreaming that Banjarmasin possess recycle center just as Surabaya who is able to produce 20 tons garbage a day and Lamongan 10 tons a day.
