The Batulicin Immigration's Intelligence and Enforcement Team (Inteldakim) in Tanah Bumbu District is strengthening supervision on foreign nationals by conducting "Jagratara" surveillance operation.
"Our team together with the Head of South Kalimantan Immigration Division had just conducted the Jagratara phase III operation in 2024," said Head of the Batulicin Immigration Ferizal here on Monday.
This operation monitors the presence and activities of foreigners in the Batulicin Immigration work area, ensuring there are no violation of stay permit or administrative involving foreigners in local companies.

On the first day (Oct 7) the team visited PT Kobex Tractors. They were welcomed by Mrs Meli and Mr Imam, accounting advisor and the company admin.
The team did not find any foreigners here, after checking. The only foreigner who previously worked at the company left Indonesia last September.
The company also emphasized that they always coordinate with the immigration every time they receive foreigners, so as to avoid administrative errors and comply with immigration regulations.
On the second day (Oct 8), the team continued operation to PT Sumber Daya Energi (SDE). The team was received by the Head of Underground Mining Virza as well as HRD and company translator Zul and Imelda.
Here, the team checked immigration documents, such as passport and limited stay permit card (KITAS). Based on the operation, until September 2024, the company employs 450 foreign workers.
"The majority of workers are from China," he said.
Head of Immigration Division of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights South Kalimantan Office Junita Sitorus gave direction to the company to always maintain the discipline of foreigners in obeying applicable regulations, as well as avoiding conflicts with local community.
Junita also reminded the company of importance of being careful, because the issue of foreign workers is often in the sportlight, especially in this political year.
"from the results of operation, the company has tightened the rules regarding interaction of foreign workers with the surrounding community," said Junita.
