Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 13/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of South Kalimantan Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Noor Fahmi noted a waiting list or haj queue have been recorded to reach 92 thousand people in the province.

"This means that with this existing number haj queue will last almost 30 years," he said in Banjarmasin on Friday.

As is known, said Noor Fahmi, South Kalimantan haj quota from 2013 to 2016 was 3,050 people per year, while the number of haj applicants exceeded quota each year. Thus, the numbers exploded from year to year.

With the return of the national haj quota 211 thousand related to a bonus of 10 thousand from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the 2017 haj season, then South Kalimantan haj quota is expected a significant addition.

"If this can be additional quota over a thousand a year, it will be very influential to cut the length of the haj queue of our region," he said.

At least, said Noor Fahmi, South Kalimantan this year got the Hajj quota of at least 4,000 people, to bring back the old quota of 3,811 people before it was cut 20 percent because of the improvement of Haram Mosque since 2013.
