Taps to Add 10,000 Meter Network in Balangan

Balangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Thegovernment owned water company PDAM Balangan will add water pipelines along 10,000 meters in 2017.

Acting Director of PDAM Balangan Sundoyo through the Head of Technical Salihin said this year the company will add pipelines in the Juai sub-district along 10,000 meters.

"The pipeline is planned to pass through five villages in the sub-district of Juai, they are Hamarung, Hukai, Gulinggang, Sungai Batung, and Tawahan," he said.

It is expected, said Salihin, with the addition of the water network clean water could soon be felt by the people in Juai.

"We are aware that people in the area difficult to find clean water when water in the river getting dirty and contaminated that it must be processed," explained Salihin, who received appeal from the local community.

He admitted not all the people in Balangan get clean water service from the taps company. It must be done phase by phase, well planned, and need a big fund, while Balangan topography is hilly.
