Hundreds of pre-prosperous or underprivileged families in Pulau Patai Village and Harara Village, East Barito District, Central Kalimantan Province, received basic food packages from PT Adaro Energy Indonesia.

Adaro Sharing program with a theme “Turn on the Heart” was carried out by its subsidiaries, PT Alam Sukses Lestari, PT Hutan Amanah Lestari, and Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) to mark the age of 31 of the company as well as to improve a good relation between SBU Adaro Group with the local villages, Departement Head Forestry Asset of PT ASL Bayu Widiarto informed.

"We hope that in the future we can work together with residents from our assisted villages in effort to develop the village's potential," Bayu said, Friday.

Through coaching in the form of community empowerment, the company also wants to create an independent village community.

For sharing food packages, Adaro cooperated with Rumah Zakat with a total amount of 70 packages in Pulau Patai Village and 74 in Harara village.

Pulau Patai Village Head Taraunianto expressed his gratitude for sharing program from Adaro Energy Indonesia through its subsidiaries operating in East Barito.

"Hopefully the aid of Adaro's basic food packages will bring blessing to us all," he said.

Previously, the handover of food packages was symbolically carried out on Thursday (8/6) at the Pulau Patai Village Office, Dusun Timur Sub-district, East Barito.

In this event, the residents welcomed and happy about the food distribution in their village.
