Adaro Group's Corporate Social Responsibility has a positive impact not only to the community but improving the performance of the regional government in Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan, as well.
Head of Balangan Board of Development Planning, Research and Innovation (Bapperinda) Rahmadi Yusni admitted that Adaro's CSR fund during the last three years (2019 - 2023) have been very helpful to the development in the district and has gained a very good containment of the community.
The Adaro's five main aspects that have been implemented in 'Bumi Sanggam' (Balangan's nickname) have proven to raise the government performance index, from human development index, public services, to the level of community satisfaction.
Based on a study by the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Banjarmasin, with a total CSR funds of IDR57.94 billion from Adaro and partners, the highest level of community satisfaction was health sector with a score of 93.5O percent, then education 90.76 percent.
The pillar of economic independence 89.07 percent, infrastructure supporting community service and empowerment (PPM) 89.87 percent, socio-cultural 85.87 percent and environmental management 86.83 percent.

Previously, Balangan government and Adaro Group had committed to strengthen their collaboration to make the district the most innovative (top 10) nationally all at once free from stunting and ODF.
The joint commitment was realized in the Balangan government and Adaro Innovation and Collaboration Breakthrough as well as talk show which presented Balangan Regent H Abdul Hadi, President Director of PT Adaro Indonesia Priyadi, General Chairperson of YABN Okty Damayanti and related government officials.
In a talkshow hosted by CSR Departement Head of PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Zuraida Murdia Hamdie, Adaro was committed to continue to collaborate to achieve common goals.
"We have carried out many innovation with the aim of providing easier services for the community," said Regent H Abdul Hadi.
As regional head, he really appreciated the collaboration with Adaro and partners so that it could help to acclerate Balangan to be the most innovative district.
This common goals, said PT Adaro Indonesia President Director Priyadi, represented Adaro Group, could be achieved through collaboration and innovation considering the highly increasing competiton with the outside world.
"Without innovation, life feels bland and this is the common key to achieving development goals," added Priyadi.
The General Chairperson of YABN Okty Damayanti also expressed the same hope that with strong, close and intimate cooperation, it is believed to be able to raise the level of health of Balangan residents, especiially the ODF program and reducing stunting rate.
