The District Government of Balangan, South Kalimantan, Adaro Grup and its partners continue to strengthen collaboration to make the district the most innovative (top 10) nationally.
The joint commitment was realized in the Balangan government and Adaro Innovation and Collaboration Breakthrough signed in Paringin, Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
"Many innovation have been realized as a result of collaboration between the regional government and Adaro, including in stunting handling," said Balangan Regent H Abdul Hadi when opening the event at the Mayang Maurai Hall.
In stunting handling, Balangan once occupied the highest ranking in South Kalimantan with the fastest reduction in the province in 2022.

To meet the national target, many efforts still need to be made. Through pentahelix or multi-party collaboration and Adaro's support, Regent H Abdul Hadi optimistic the target to be the Top 10 national most innovative district this year would be realized.
President Director of PT Adaro Indonesia Priyadi also believes that collaboration and innovation will realize Balangan "Baharat" (acronym for moving fast) in development with people.
"This breakthrough is a common goal that must be achieved and there must be innovation to realize the desired ideals," he said.
For Priyadi, Adaro's operation can survive until now because of innovation and collaboration by synchronizing CSR programs with regional development goals.
External Relation Division Head of Balangan Coal Companies, Thoha, said that a collaboratin strategy is needed by involving five elements, including local government, private sector, educational institutions, society and media.
"Adaro supports priority development in Balangan, one of which is improving the quality of human resources by reducing stunting rates," he said.
One of the Paringin Sub-district fasilitators Murtinah revealed that the results of intervention and assistance carried out by Adaro through Adaro Foundation (YABN) and "Balanting" working group were proven to reduce stunting cases.
She hopes that this program to continue so that Balangan wil be free from stunting and children who are still stunted can receive additional food in the form of eggs, milk, and vitamins.
Testimonials were also delivered by Head of Balida Village Syahridin and Deputy Chair of TP PKK Tabalong Megawati regarding achievements in health development, including acceleration in stunting reduction and realizing an ODF (Open Defecation Free) Village through collaboration of Adaro and the local government.
