Adaro: Road Closure For Residents Safety

Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of Public Relations of PT Adaro Indonesia Hikmatul Amin confirmed that the road in trans Laburan, Padang Panjang Village, Tabalong, has been closed.

It was with a reason to minimize accidents on the road for transport of coal from PT Adaro, so it need to reduce the access of local residents in one of the objects of this national cavity.

"Adaro need to reduce the access of citizens considering the coal transport size crossing road are large, one of the way is close the road in trans laburan," said Amin.

Amin also asserted that Adaro itself already complied government's recommendations related to safety at the mine site, one of which by closing a number of access to residents who living in the vicinity of the company's operations.

"Closure of the road trans laburan to limit the access of the mining location considering there is no public interest in the land," said Amin again.

Meanwhile, residents reacted after the closure of trans laburan road. They submitted protests to Regent Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani in Bersinar Pembataan Guesthouse.

"We asked Adaro to reopen the access of citizens to the mine road and payment of land compensation for the impact of coal transport activity," said Adi, a resident of trans Laburan.
