Banjarmasin, (AntaranewsKalsel) - Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor will soon realizes the construction of toll roads Banjarbaru-Batulicin along 160 kilometers. Most of the construction will be carried out by the TNI.


The governor said the road works along 12 kilometers in the village of Batu Kambing and Meratus mountains, with fairly heavy field will be done by the military.

"For the construction of the road with quite heavy terrain, the Government of South Kalimantan handed over to the military," he said at the opening ceremony of large-scale service works of Korem 101/Antasari on the football field Awang Bangkal, Karang Intan, on Saturday.

In his speech, the Governor said, through the program of Karya Bhakti TNI (service work of the military), the South Kalimantan provincial government and the TNI committed to develop the village and empower rural and coastal communities.

Through Karya Bhakti TNI, he said, the development of the periphery will actually be implemented, so that the well-being and sustainable development can also be enjoyed by the public, especially the fishermen.

"Large-scale service work of TNI is a real work program that is held by the military in the region of Korem 101/Antasari, as part of a military effort to help people," he said.

Commander of Korem 101/Antasari Colonel Kav Yanuar Adil said the construction of the road is a form of military oneness with the people.

"So we together with local governments cooperate in the construction of roads. The implementation of this large-scale community service work in addition to saving time also saves the cost of travel," he said.

According to him, the toll road Banjarbaru-Batulicin will save mileage from previously took six hours to only about two to three hours.
