Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Mantimin Coal Mining (MCM) in the village of Kaong, Tabalong, has not been producing coal yet, because of no mine road. While the company has picked forest use permit since 2009.
Section Head of Inventory and Land Use of Tabalong Forestry and Plantation Agency Harlina Herawati in Tanjung on Wednesday said that permit use of forest issued by the Ministry of Forestry in 2009 was for 266 hectares areas in production forests.
"Permit issued by the Ministry of Forestry in 2009 for PT Mantimin Coal Mining is to exploit coal, but because it has no mining road and no access to the port end until now could not be producing," explained Harlina.
MCM itself a coal company that holds the License Agreement of Coal Mining (PK2B) issued by the central government and operates in Tabalong and Balangan.
Minister of Forestry Decree No. SK.122 / Menhut-II / 2009 stated forest land use permit to PT MCM includes mining area 124.50 hectares and 141.50 hectares of facilities and infrastructure.
Meanwhile Head of Patterning and Business Development Mokhammad Nur`aini said the plan is PT MCM will partner with PT Kampar Indonesia for the purposes of transportation of coal to ports in Central Kalimantan.
"Previously, the Tabalong Regional Spatial Planning Coordinating Board conducted surveys related to mine road development plan along 30 kilometers from the Bilas village to Central Kalimantan and the road will be used by MCM for coal transportation," explained Nur`aini.
Data in the Forestry and Plantation Agency mentioneda total of 18,583 hectares of forest area were included in the mining license of PT Adaro Indonesia, which has extensive use permit by 7,512 hectares.
In addition to PT Adaro Indonesia and Pertamina, six other mining companies that have use permit of forest areas, namely PT Interex Sacra Raya, PT Mantimin Coal Mining, PT Global Multi Energy, CV Cakra Persada Mandiri, CV Berkat Mufakat Bersama and PT Bara Pramulya Abadi.
