The government of Kotabaru, south Kalimantan, is designing to turn a former building of the Regional Revenue Office (Bapenda) into public service mall (MPP).

The Kotabaru Regional Secretary (Sekda) Said Akhmad said the public service mall is built to offer easier public services, where people can make multi-transaction in one building.

Here, there will be Samsat (one roof administration system) services, population services, such as KTP or ID, online licensing, and so on.

"(Related to that) the office center will be moved to the Sebelimbingan office area in Pulau Laut Utara sub-district," said Said Akhmad here on Thurday.

He said the move to offices in Sebelimbingan was because the old location was less representative.

Said Ahmad also told PUPR that office construction in Sebelimbingan would no longer be multi-storey because the area is very large.

"We have a lot of empty land, so office construction later just for one floor to save budget," he said.

He also wants the construction to be gradually so as not to delay and could be completed based on planned schedule.

Currently, the new Sebelimbingan Office complex has been occupied by the Regent's office, Regional Secretariat, assistants, expert staff, and all boards.

There are also some government working units (SKPD), including Youth and Sport Office (Disparpora), the Development Planning Board (Bappeda), the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), and the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD).
