The University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) keeps striving to strengthen international networks to go "World Class University" it has launched starting this year as a leading campus in South Kalimantan.

"Development of WCU indicator-based university is our target for the future. I ask that international networks continue to be strengthened both at the university and faculty level," said ULM Chancellor Prof Ahmad Alim Bachri in Banjarbaru, Monday.

Various stretegic programs have been launched to forge international collaboration which have been ongoing and continued to be improved.

Academic reputation, citation reputation, alumni reputation, publication as well as research reputation must be at the level that can be recognized worlwide.

"All component must move toward QS World University Rankings, in addition the importance of fostering pride and sense of belonging to ULM," he stressed.

The chancellor added that ULM enganges in research cooperation program between Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, which next week will hold a meeting at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Makassar as part of WCU's efforts.

The plan to achieve ULM as a performance-based WCU was discussed in depth at the 2024 ULM working meeting in Banjarbaru, Monday, February 26, 2024.

The 2023 performance achievements and the chancellor's work program for 2024 to 2025 were presented, including presentation and discussion of vice chancellors' work program in four main areas as well as work program of Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) and Institute for Quality Assurance and Educational Development (LPMPP).
