The Government of Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan Province, continues to intensify educational promotion to increase public awareness on Diverse, Nutritiously Balanced, and Safe (B2SA) menus to prevent and curbing stunting cases in the regency.

"We keep on conducting socialization of this program to the whole community," said Tanah Bumbu Regent H. Zairullah Azhar in Batulicin, Monday.

He said pregnant women should be more aware about stunting, thus stunting prevention can be optimal.

This nutrition can be obtained from a variety of food ingredients, those are not contaminated with dangerous substances, because nutritional growth in children starts from what their mothers consume during pregnancy.

Previously, the Tanah Bumbu Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning Office held a coordination meeting to discuss acceleration of stunting mitigation in "Bumi Bersujud" (Tanah Bumbu's nickname) in 2024.

"Plans were prepared and discussed in this meeting regarding strategic measures in stunting mitigation acceleration," he explained.

He considered the most effective efforts to reduce the case is through nutritional approaches and interventions.
