Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Balangan Police Public Relations Aiptu Pektrus Purba said a latex thief resisted when the Juai sector police wanted to arrest after he committed theft in a rubber plantation owned by local residents.


"The offender action has been troubling the people, so the police based on the information from society immediately conducted an investigation," he said in Balangan, Sunday.

Juai criminal unit police moved. Because of already pocketed the identity and characteristics of the offender, the police easyly found the perpetrator and arrested him.

He was known with initials MS alias Ngaum (19).The perpetrator was arrested in his home in the village of Lalayau, Sub-district of Juai.

"MS directly fight with machete when police wanted to catch him, because of he stole latext," said PR.

The perpetrator was arrested on Friday (3/9) afternoon, around 12:00 pm along with the evidence, including rubber latex, a machete and a bicycles.

Currently the perpetrator and evidence secured in Juai police office to undergo further tests for the offense.

He has been named as a suspect and charged with article 363 of Criminal Code, under penalty of seven years.

Meanwhile, the suspect MS admitted that he had stolen latex in rubber plantation owned by residents in the Enam hamlet, Sumber Rejeki Village, Juai.

"I've been eight times stealing latext belonging to residents, moved from one to another plantation to sold to sap collectors," he said.
