Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Narcotics Agency (BNNP) thwarted 4.2 kilograms sabu-sabu trafficking in Syamsudin Noor Airport.


"We were working with PT Angkasa Pura and Syamsudin Noor Air Base, so that the perpetrators and the evidence can be secured," said BNNP Chief Kombes Arnowo in Banjarmasin on Monday.

He said the circulation of 4.2 kilograms of sabu-sabu (crystal methamphetamine) was foiled on Friday (23/9) morning at around 11:30.

In addition to successfully secure the evidence as many as five large package, BNNP arrested five perpetrators involved in the illicit goods circulation. They were identified as Rusfiannor (24), Roslan Safari (26), Rusliansyah (36), Hendi (24) and Rudi (26).

"We have arrested five offenders still in the airport area, and some were already in the plane," he said when exposing the case before the media crew. The expose attended by Director of South Kalimantan Drug Police, Syamsudin Noor Air Base commander and GM Angkasa Pura.

The chronology began with the capture of suspected Rusfiannor by airport officials, because of the way he walked was different. Airport officials immediately conduct inspections and searches, after contacting BNNP.

"We encountered a bag of crystal methamphetamine weighing one kilogram stored behind three layers of underwear," he said.

From Rusfiannor the case continued to be developed until other actors caught together with evidence while they were still in around Syamsudin Noor Airport.

He said that after examination, they all known were couriers of illicit goods across the province, and with wages Rp10 million per person.

"They have several times dropping illicit goods, but only this time captured. Sending from Pontianak to Medan, from Pontianak to Jakarta and the last from Banjarmasin to Surabaya," he said.

BNNP head said some of the crystal meth known to have come from neighboring country, namely Malaysia. Discomfiture circulation of 4.2 kilograms of illicit goods have saved at least 45 thousand inhabitants.
