Bandung, West Java (AntaranewsKalsel) - During the six-day of National Games (PON) XIX 2016, South Kalimantan contingent has so far collected three gold medals.
The three gold medals were panned two in shooting sport and one from diving.
The first gold medal won by shooting athletes at the team number 10 meter Air Rifle Women Standards on behalf of Khairunisa Salsabela, Wayne Aulya P, and Aulia Noor Maulida on Tuesday (20/9) at the Shooting Range Cisangkan, Cimahi, West Java.
This achievement was repeated by shooting athlete Deny Pratama who played in men individual at number 10 meter pistol on Wednesday (21/9) at the same place.
On the same day, a South Kalimantan diving athlete Eka Purnama Indah played in the women three-meter board in the pool FPOK UPI Bandung (21/9) also won gold.
With three gold achievement, the Chief of Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) brach South Kalimantan H Bambang Heri Purnomo said he is confident of increasing gold medals for the contingent.
Because, he says, South Kalimantan still has the gold medal target flagship sports, namely wrestling, horse riding and diving.
"Other sports are still many, such as football, women basketball, billiards, martial arts and boxing," he explained.
So far, he said, South Kalimantan contingent achievements already gained three gold medals, three silver and three bronze.
