Mayor of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Muhammad Aditya Mufti Ariffin received Swasti Saba Wiwerda award from the Indonesian Health Ministry for bringing Banjarbaru as the 2023 Healthy City.
The award was handed over by Secretary General of Health Ministry Suhajar Diantoro in awarding ceremony in Jakarta, Tuesday (November 28, 2023).
"The Swasti Saba Wiwerda award is a manifestation of the Banjarbaru City Government's success and commitment to provide maximum and quality services in health sector," said Aditya in Banjarbaru, Wednesday.

Banjarbaru City Government, he said, has been able to realize various programs and innovation in health sector that it deserves the name of the 2023 Healthy City.
Banjarbaru has also implemented the central government's Healthy District and City (KKS) program in the "Dream City" (Banjarbaru's nickname).
"The success in implementing the programs cannot be separated from the role of various parties involved in them as well as full support of the community that the programs run as expected," he said.
"This means that the Banjarbaru City Government's programs have succeeded in encouraging the progress in health services and people have directly experienced the programs," he said.
Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin had previously congratulated all regional heads who succeeded in winning the award in their efforts to realize the healthy city.
"The quality of health in each region is getting better thus encouraging an increase in people's life expectancy where the health is one of the influencing factors," he said.
