Mayor of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Muhammad Aditya Mufti Ariffin has received fiscal incentive fund for his government well performance in controlling inflation.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), today we have received fiscal incentive fund for the second times from the central government handed over by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani and Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian," said Aditya.
Banjarbaru received IDR9.6 billion of fiscal incentive fund or increased by IDR300 million from the previous fund it received in the first period.
Aditya explained that the fiscal incentive fund to be used in activities beneficial to the public, both for curbing inflation and other permitted activities, such as handling stunting.
"The fiscal incentive fund is used for activities that are felt by the community, such as low price market with the aim of controlling inflation and other activities like stunting handling and alleviating poverty," he said.
Aditya hopes that the incentive fund from the central government will be encouragement to improve performance, especialy for all SKPD (government working units) within the Banjarbaru City Government to watch out inflation.
"Effort to stabilize prices and to keep inflation low are very valuable for Banjarbaru residents, because they affect people's welfare, so we continue to curb inflation," he said.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani in her decree stated that Banjarbaru City Government had been declared successful in being included in the list of 34 regional government receiving allocation of fiscal incentive fund for the third period.
Fiscal incentive fund is a form of appreciation from the Ministry of Finance to regional governments that are considered successful in implementing strategic program to control inflation in their respective regions.
