Stakeholder Relation Manager of state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Airport Iwan Risdianto here on Tuesday said that seven morning flights have been delayed due to the haze.

"Seven flights could not depart according to schedules starting from 06.00 to 08.00 WITA (Central Indonesia Time Zone) because of the haze covering the runway," he informed.

The seven flight schedules delayed were Garuda Indonesia to Jakarta, Lion Air to Surabaya and Jakarta, Super Air Jet to Jakarta and Surabaya, Citilink to Jakarta, and Wings Air to Balikpapan.

According to Iwan, the visibility on the runway from 06.00 to 06.30 WITA was around 300 to 500 meters did not meet the requarements to take off and morning flights were delayed.

"Towards 07.30 WITA visibility began to increase, so that one by one the planes were able to fly according to their routes and finally at 08.06 WITA Garuda Indonesia aircraft to Jakarta departed," he said.
