Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Banjarmasin municipal government to move handling of terminal to Antasari Market (popularly known here as Pasar Hanyar), as the main terminal kilometer 6 has to be handedover to the province government.
Head of Transportation, Communication, and Information Agency (Dishubkominfo) Kasman here on Wednesday said the plan is the management of Terminal Km 6 to be handed over to the province government in October.
"So our Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) at Terminal Km 6 will move to Terminal Pasar Hanyar," he said.
He explained that it got to be done to comply with Law No 23 year 2014 on local government, which regulates terminal type B has to be handled by province government and type A managed by central government.
"Terminal Pasar Hanyar will be arrange to be type C terminal for city transportation only," he said.
Kasman acknowledged it is difficult enough for the municipal government to disengage the management of Terminal Km 6 as it had spent a budget of up to Rp24 billions to make many improvement of the terminal.
