Two of the National Paralympic Comittee of Indonesia (NPCI) athletes from Barito Kuala (Batola) District, South Kalimantan, represent Indonesia at the 2023 ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia.
The two paralympic athletes are Suriansyah to play in swimming and Ahmad Fauzi in athletics.
"I congratulate you and keep fighting to the athletes," said Mujiyat after leading comemoration of Pancasila Day here on Thursday.
On the occasion, Mujiyat handed over bonuses to NPCI athletes for winning medals in 4th South Kalimantan Para Games in South Hulu Sungai in 2022.
Batola's paralympic athletes had bagged 23 gold medals, 11 silvers, and 18 bronzes. In total the won 52 medals.
Pancasila Day in 2023 upholding a theme "Gotong Royong to Build Civilization and Global growth" attended by members of Forkopimda, TNI, Polri, mass organizations, students, NPCI athletes and civil servants.
Acting Regent Mujiyat then launched the distribution of national flags from the National and Political Unity Office (Kesbangpol) to the community represented by Family Welfare Empowerment Driving Team (TP-PKK) and representatives or organizations.
