The Kotabaru Public Works and Spantial Planning (PUPR) Agency has alloted Quran at the the At-Taqwa Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes At-taqwa) in Sebelimbingan Village, Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district, Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan.

"Hopefully with this assistance of the holy Quran copies will help to boost the enthusiasm of children at the At-Taqwa Boarding School to study Islam knowledge even more actively," said Head of Planning and Finance Subdivision of the Kotabaru PUPR Ainun Jariah here on Saturday.

According to Ainun, who represented Head of PUPR Agency Suprapti Tri Astuti, the delivery of Quran was a program initiated by the head of the agency by taking the Blessed Friday.

"40 copies of Quran were given," she said.

Secretary of At-taqwa Nur Abdul Rozaq expressed highly gratitude to the PUPR Kotabaru for giving Quran copies for the santri (students) of the boarding school.

"This is a suprise for us as management of the boarding school," he said.

He admitted that that during Ramadan the boarding school needs quite a lot of Quran, so th assistance was realyy helpful.

"We have five programs in the month of Ramadan, one of which is to complete reciting of Quran," said Rozaq.

Meanwhile, PUPR also conducts religious studies on ongoing basis regularly to increase understanding of Islam for State Civil Apparatis (ASN) in all fields at the agency.

The activity is expected to have an impact of increasing awareness religion in the work environment and attitude aspects.
