The Secretariat of the South Kalimantan's Kotabaru District Legislative Council (DPRD) has received a working visit from the Secretariat of the East Kalimantan's Paser District DPRD.

"They look and discussed how the Secretariat of the Kotabaru DPRD is managed, and studied the work arrangement system," said the Head of the Budgeting and Supervision Section and Facilitation of the Secretariat Mardatu Husna, as reported from Kotabaru on Wednesday.

When studying the system implemented at the Kotabaru DPRD, they saw that there was a difference from that of the Paser system.

The governance system that makes the difference is the use of a team of experts (expert team for DPRD) and expert staff from factions.

"In Paser, experts are only used when needed," said Husna.

The system that became the difference was what motivated them to consult, and learn to apply in Paser.

Head of Paser DPRD Secretariat team Bambang Purnomo said this working visit was used as material and evaluation for strengthening human resources in his ranks.

"We discussed the provision of a DPRD expert team on how to implement the system as a strengthening of human resources in our secretariat," he said.

According to him, there is a difference in the number of experts, in Kotabaru there are three experts, while in Paser there is only one.

"We will evaluate and provide input on the system and the number of experts to increase the performance capacity of the DPRD according to their duties and functions, namely supervision, budgeting, and the formation of regional regulations," said Bambang Purnomo.
