Speaker of the Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) Syairi Mukhlis has tried to find a way out for palm oil farmers who are now being in difficulties of selling their fresh fruit bunches (FFB).

According to chairperson the the DPRD, this condition is harming the farmers for the could not sell their FFB to a large factory.

Actually, Syairi said, some small factories (PKS) could serve self-supporting farmers, however they have to be in a long queue to get into the factories that it could disturb the activities of the farmers.

As a esult of the coordination, the South Kalimantan Plantation Agency has summoned all factories in the province. THey immediately held a meeting, but so far no information has been conveyed.
