South Kalimantan Food Task Force has so far found no cooking oil mafia in the midst crisis of the commodity in the province.

Head of the Task Force, concurrently South Kalimantan Police's Director of Special Crime Investigation Dept Sr Comr Suhasto, SIK, MH, declred it during the meeting with Chairman of South Kalimantan DPRD Dr (HC) H Supian HK SH MH and related agencies here on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

Regarding the police finding of hoarding of packed cooking oil in the city of Banjarmasin some time ago, he said it was only casuistic, not mafia.

"Both as Food Task Force and Regional Police of South Kalimantan we continue to monitor and take action if there is hoarding or misuse," he asserted, accompanied by South Kalimantan Police's Chief Operation Sr Comr Nur Handono SIK.

"If residents know that there is hoarding or deviation of food, report it to us, we will immediately follow it up," said Suhasto.

Meanwhile, in the meeting, Head of South Kalimantan Trade Agency H Birhasani reported that the stock of cooking oil in the province reached 100 tons.

"This amount is estimated to be sufficient for the needs of people in South Kalimantan until the upcoming Eid al-Fitr," said Birhasani.
