Tanah Laut Police (Polres Tala) opened discounted cooking oil market at its headquarters on Tuesday (March 29, 2022) to commemorate 42nd Anniversary of Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation.
"We prepare a total 2,000 liters of cooking oil today," said Tanah Laut Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Rofikoh Yunianto.
One liter of cooking oil is sold for Rp18,000, and if a buyer buys two liters it is sold for Rp35,000.
Police Chief said one resident was allowed to buy only two liters of cooking oil.
"In our today's activity we are assisted by Bhayangkari Tanah Laut branch. We pray that this activity can help Tanah Laut residents, especially to meet basic needs,” he said.
Rofikoh Yunianto said that cooking oil in Tanah Laut markets is available, but the price is still expensive.
"We continue to carry out special operation, because the need for bulk cooking oil in Tanah Laut is around 1,000 liters, but only 800 liters available. Later we will collaborate with local government and distributors to meet the needs here. Insya Allah the price will be stable," he said.
One of resident, Pabahanan Tukiyem, expressed her gratitude that the Tanah Laut Police held discounted cooking oil market.
Se hopes that Tanah Laut Police to again hold a discounted market by providing other basic goods, such as rice and sugar.
