Muhammad Miftah Farid and Rinanda Salsabila were named as South Hulu Sungai (HSS) tourism ambassadors after winning the contest of 12 finalist, male and female.

"This event is the first to be held in HSS with the aim to prepare the potential youth as a tourism driver," said Head of HSS Youth and Sport Agency (Disporapar) Efran, Saturday night, March 27, 2022.

The two winners of the tourism ambassador contest with the theme "When Nature Meets Culture" will represent HSS to the provincial level.

Assistant for Economy and Develoment of HSS Administration H. MK. Saputra hopes the contest to produce tourism ambassadors who are able to promote and increase the surge of tourism in the disrict.

Considering the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the tourism economic sector, then the adjustment mus be made so that tourism continue to run to support the economy.

"Do the job as well as possible, carry on the trust given as expected," he said reading the remarks of the Regent of HSS H Achmad Fikry.

The juries for the contest were Head of Tourism of Disporapar Moh. Zakir Maulidi, Tourism Marketing Coordinator Disporapar Salapudin, and Yuliana, a book author.

Then Alpian Noor, the Nanang HSS in 2008, finalist of South Kalimantan Nanang-Galuh 2009, Deputy 2 Ambassador of South Kalimantan Sasirangan 2009, Indonesian Youth Ambassador for ASEAN 2012, and Rinawati, South Kalimantan Miss of Tourism 2018, Miss of Tabalong Tourism 2018, and 2020 Traffic Ambassador of South Kalimantan Police.

Selected as the first runner-up for male Muhammad Nur Fathan, female first runner-up Sita Rizky Nurhidayah, the 2nd male runner-up Muhammad Bahrudin Yusuf, the 2nd female runner-up Andrea Zahra, the 3rd male runner-up Muhammad Ikhsan Fahruraji, and 3rd female runner-up Jessica Tansri Elvinda.

The 4th male runner up Muhammad Avif Ramadhan, 4th female runner up Chyntia Bella, 5th male runner up Isnan, 5th female runner up Zahra Sayyidati Yasminusyifa, male favorite Muhammad Ikhsan Fahruraji and female favorite Jessika Tansri Elvinda.
