Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of the Tabalong Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Erwan said that the most northern district in South Kalimantan has become a pilot area for the development of Strategic District Area (KSK) in 2016 for its successful in increasing the local economy.
"Tabalong also received award from the central government for its success in implementing the PNPM PISEW for KSK program this year and the only district in South Kalimantan chosen as a pilot area in 2016," said Erwan here on Sunday.
For the successful implementation of the National Program for Community Empowerment Regional Socio-Economic Infrastructure Development (PNPM PISEW) for Strategic District Area Regent Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani invited to be guest speaker at a talk show and an exhibition held by Cipta Karya on December 30, 2015.
Erwan added, PNPM PISEW assessing the success of KSK in Tabalong seen from the performance of the team and a good human resources since 2007 until now, including a significant increase of the potential of the local economy.
"There are three districts become strategic importance in Tabalong, Sub-district of Jaro, Muara Uya and Haruai with excellent potential cattle and rubber plantations," explained Erwan.
Through the KSK it is expected to enable local economic activities in order to alleviate poverty, reduce unemployment and spur the development of the region.
