Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron appreciated the success of regions in South Kalimantan, especially Barito Kuala (Batola), for their commitment to preventing corruption.

Batola is appreciated, he said at the Integrated Corruption Eradication Coordination Meeting for South Kalimantan at Mahligai Pancasila Banjarmasin, Thursday (March 17, 2022), for successfully implementing the Village Financial Supervision System (Siswaskeudes) application.

The Governor of South Kalimantan H Sahbirin Noor in his remarks asked for the synergy of regional heads in 13 districts and cities in an effort to prevent all forms of corruption on all fronts.

He said the issue of corruption is still a scourge in governance and development.

In fact, he said, various ways have been attempted, starting with the declaration of the Free-Corruption Working Zone (WBK) and Accountable Service Zone (WBBM), as well as Monitoring Control for Prevention (MCP).

The governor considered it is important for regional heads to measure the effectiveness of the preventive measures that have been implemented and which sectors still need strengthening.

Based on the results of the KPK's verification of the MCP program and the 2021 thematic program in general, there has been an increase in achievements for local governments in South Kalimantan.

Batola Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS, who was also present along with the Chairman of the DPRD Saleh, Regional Secretary H Zulkipli Yadi Noor, and Head of the Batola Inspectorate H Ismed Zulfikar, expressed gratitude for being at the top level in the intervention effort.

"I hope that the achievements that have been achieved can be maintained and even improved in the future," said Noormiliyani.
