The Tourism Office of Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province, confirmed that 70-80 percent of Mataram's non-star rated hotels, known as melati (jasmine) hotels, were booked by tourists in connection with the MotoGP event.
The 2022 Mandalika MotoGP will be held on March 18-20, 2022, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara Province.
Head of the Tourism Office of Mataram City H. Nizar Denny Cahyadi stated here on Wednesday that the office was assisted by the West Nusa Tenggara Tourism Office and the team from the Hospitality of Indonesia Network (HIN) in marketing the non-star rated hotels.
"As for homestays, they usually have their own network and application. Thus, we are sure that all inns in Mataram will be fully occupied during the event," he remarked.

Cahyadi expressed optimism that all non-star rated hotels would be fully occupied during the event. Meanwhile, star-rated hotels are fully booked since early February, he stated.
Mataram's Tourism Office head remarked that 4,730 hotel rooms had been readied in both star-rated and non-star rated hotels. Meanwhile, the number of MotoGP spectators is projected to reach more than 70 thousand.
"The number of rooms that we have readied does not include homestays and several residents' houses that have been registered as alternative lodging," he noted.
Speaking in connection with the standard tariff, Cahyadi affirmed that the provincial government had issued the price regulation as a reference for all hoteliers.
"However, so far, I have not received the copy. Thus, I do not know the real tariff," the Health Office head stated.
However, Cahyadi noted that guests, who had agreed with the hotel owner before the standard price was published, could continue with the price agreement.
